Building a Sound Business Structure with Your Social Media Strategy

I was staying with some friends for a few days and was on the couch working on my laptop. Their young daughter came up and asked me what I was doing. “Working” I said. She climbed up on the couch, looked at my computer and said “you play on Facebook for work?”  Since I was sure she probably could care less about social media strategy I simply said, “Yes. Yes I do.” For your brand to be successful, we all know that you have to “play on Facebook” in order to make it work. However, there is a big problem with that strategy. You spend so much time building a social media following that Facebook controls.  How you engage with them is not in your hands. Facebook determines which of your posts they see and how often. As an entrepreneur, you have no control over the Facebook platform or any other social media platform where you are currently marketing your business.
